Firearms, cigars, and alcohol on Scale.

Explore messaging for eligible firearms, cigar/tobacco, and alcohol businesses on Blocx Scale, with a dedicated compliance contact and carrier review.

Scale supports eligible firearms, cigar/tobacco, and alcohol use cases with a dedicated compliance contact. Start with a call so we can review your business, message content, intended channel, and recipients before you send. Starter does not support SHAFT or other restricted verticals.

Review a real communications use case with a dedicated compliance contact before building the integration.

Resolve eligibility before writing the integration

A plan upgrade is not carrier approval

Buying access to a platform does not override restrictions on the business, the content, the recipient, or the channel.

One category label hides different requirements

Firearms, cigars/tobacco, and alcohol are not interchangeable. A service notice and a promotion can also face different rules.

An integration can be built before eligibility is clear

Reviewing the actual use case early helps your team avoid designing around a channel or message that cannot be approved.

Three industries. Specific reviewed communications.

Follow each stage from the event in your system to the message your customer receives and the next action in your product.

Review firearms-business service communication

Bring a specific, lawful account-service use case for review. An account-service notice must not advertise a weapon; sending firearms-related traffic requires approval for the use case and channel.

There is an update for your account. Sign in directly to the business's website to review the details and contact options.

Next step: Review the account update, only after the use case and channel are approved.

Review cigar and tobacco account notices

Discuss the intended audience, location, content, and channel before implementing communications for a cigar or tobacco business.

Review alcohol-business service updates

Describe the operational event and the applicable age and jurisdiction controls. Review does not imply that every type of alcohol promotion or channel is permitted.

From use-case review to permitted traffic

Bring the business and the actual message

Discuss the business category, locations, intended recipients, channels, and representative content with Sales and the compliance contact.

Resolve eligibility before integrating

Review applicable licensing, age and jurisdiction rules, consent, and channel restrictions. Carrier decisions remain outside a plan's promise.

Implement only the reviewed communication

Connect the approved event and content through the documented interface. Revisit material changes in audience, channel, or message purpose.

Plan access is not carrier approval

Scale, not Starter

Eligible restricted-vertical use cases require Scale or Volume. Scale includes a dedicated compliance contact; Starter does not support SHAFT or other restricted verticals.

No blanket SHAFT acceptance

The approved industry examples here are firearms, cigars/tobacco, and alcohol. Other categories or traffic require separate confirmation.

No approval-time promise for SHAFT

Carrier approval is not guaranteed. SHAFT companies are excluded from the 48-hour 10DLC approval guarantee.

Integration requirements

Your business is responsible for applicable licensing, age and jurisdiction restrictions, consent, and opt-out requirements. Carrier and channel policies can prohibit traffic even on Scale. Approval is not guaranteed. SHAFT companies are excluded from the 48-hour 10DLC approval guarantee. This page covers firearms, cigars/tobacco, and alcohol, not blanket acceptance of every SHAFT category.

Discuss your use case

Restricted-industry review, explained

Which businesses is this page describing?

Eligible firearms, cigar/tobacco, and alcohol businesses on Scale, subject to the actual use case and channel review. The SHAFT label is not blanket acceptance of every category or every type of traffic.

Can I use Starter for a restricted business?

No. Starter does not support SHAFT or other restricted verticals. Discuss an eligible use case on Scale, or Volume where appropriate, before sending.

Does Scale guarantee that a carrier will approve the traffic?

No. Scale includes a dedicated compliance contact for restricted-vertical review, but channel and carrier policies can prohibit traffic even on that plan. Carriers make the final approval decision.

Does the 48-hour 10DLC approval guarantee apply?

No. SHAFT companies are excluded from that guarantee. Do not plan a launch around an assumed approval deadline.

Does Blocx take over our age, licensing, or consent obligations?

No. Your business remains responsible for applicable licensing, age and jurisdiction restrictions, consent, and opt-outs. These examples do not represent a built-in age-verification service or permission to bypass channel policies.

Review the use case before you build around it.

Tell Sales which business category, audience, message purpose, and channels you have in mind. Start with eligibility, not an assumption that an API key permits the traffic.
